I was in serious need of some last minute gifts for my family ... who am I kidding? I'm still in serious need of some more! I needed something quick AND cute that I could make to gift to a few special ladies in my life. So, I came up with this Headband with a TWIST! I think it looks amazing and I'm pretty sure they are all going to love it!
I did a quick LIVE video on Facebook last night showing how I make this headband. You can view the video below.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1 Skein of Caron Simply Soft in color of your choice (or similar yarn)
I (5.50mm) Crochet Hook
And a Yarn Needle for weaving in your end
STITCHES YOU'LL NEED TO KNOW
Ch - chain
St(s) - stitch(es)
Hdc - Half double crochet
Hlo - hidden loop only (or 3rd loop of the hdc stitch)
Slst - slip stitch
FINISHED SIZE
To fit average head circumference of 21-23 inches
LET'S GET STARTED!
Begin by creating a slip knot and then chain 60. Being careful not to twist, join with a slst to your first ch to form a ring.
Round 1:
Ch 1 (does not count as a st here and throughout the pattern). Hdc in every ch around. Do NOT join. Instead, twist your chain so you are continuing to hdc on the oppoite side of your beginning ch. Hdc in the every ch around on the opposite side. You should now have a total of 120 hdc in the round. Join with a slst to first hdc.
Round 2:
Ch 1. Hdc in the hlo of every st around. Join with a slst to first hdc. (120 sts total)
Round 3-8:
Repeat round 2.
Fasten off at the end of round 8 and weave in your ends.
Yay! You've made a super simple and super cute Headband with a TWSIT! Hope you enjoyed making it just a much as I did ... well, am. I still have a few more to go hehe. Have a Happy Holiday y'all!
xoxo
